Thousands of people in Cape Town are missing basic needs such as food, water, clothes and a mattress to sleep.
OUR MISSION
At Moving Forward, our mission is to bring meaningful change to the lives of those most in need.
What began as a simple act of making soup on rainy days to feed 100 people at a time has grown into a committed effort to provide meals and drinks to the underprivileged and homeless in our city.

We are driven by a desire to make a difference, one person at a time.
As we adapt to the ever-changing challenges of life and the profound shifts in the country of South Africa,
we remain steadfast in our goal: to move forward with compassion and resilience, helping to rebuild lives and restore hope.​​​

WHAT WE DO
We focus our efforts across three key areas: Weekly community outreach activities, annual collaborative projects with our partners, and a long-term vision dedicated to creating sustainable impact through our NGO's initiatives.
Weekly Feeding
Every week, Moving Forward brings hope and relief to those in need across the Cape Town area. Together with our dedicated volunteers and the support of PicknPay Observatory, we distribute hot meals, refreshing beverages, and—when resources allow—clothing, shoes and sanitary items to those facing hardship.
PARTNERSHIp
Projects
Partnering with Pick n Pay Observatory, we collaborate on 6–10 impactful community projects each year. Together, we focus on supporting vulnerable individuals and families, fostering resilience, and building a stronger, more compassionate community.

We believe every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and flourish. Our long-term vision is to provide nourishment and support to children in need, empowering them with the foundation to access education and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
